Best park for sledding in the county! Free public bocce, tennis and basketball courts. Wonderful park for everything. Beautiful lodge to rent on site.
Great ball fields and awesome parking. Always clean and the bathrooms are clean too.
This is a great little Park. I've been going here for 50 years. In the winter there's wonderful sledding for all ages. In the summer and fall there are nice wooded hiking trails. It's on a high hill with a nice view of the Bristol Hills to the South. Near the Pavilions are restrooms but I've never found them open. It's not too large so it's suitable for children under 10. An adult could hike the woods' perimeter trail in 10 to 15 minutes. Ample parking up top, and as of summer 2016, there's a new parking lot and lower Trail Access Point on the northeast corner of the property, off of Route 250. Normal access is to turn North off of Route 441, directly across from the Wegmans entrance, using the same entrance as the Bay Trail Middle School, and then head straight up the hill. Mind the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. It was placed there due to a youth death at that location. The hill is also the location where the town of Penfield typically does their Fourth of July fireworks.
The hill in the park is the perfect size for sledding with kids. Not too steep and long enough for a good ride but not too long for the walk back to the top. Plenty of parking at top of hill and in school lot on weekends. Also have little playground at top of hill for younger children.
Sledding hill is good, it's a place you can go to enjoy quieter times, or have fun with your friends
